Drosophilada olib borilgan tadqiqotlar, bu genni, tish signalizatsiya yoʻlining ijobiy regulyatorini kodlash sifatida aniqladi. Inson geni nomaʼlum funksiyali oqsilni kodlaydi. Lekin u asosiy spiral-loop-spiral transkripsiya omili faoliyatida rol oʻynashi mumkin<ref name="entrez">{{Veb manbasi|sarlavha=Entrez Gene: DTX1 deltex homolog 1 (Drosophila)|url=https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/sites/entrez?Db=gene&Cmd=ShowDetailView&TermToSearch=1840}}<cite class="citation web cs1" data-ve-ignore="true">[https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/sites/entrez?Db=gene&Cmd=ShowDetailView&TermToSearch=1840 "Entrez Gene: DTX1 deltex homolog 1 (Drosophila)"].</cite></ref>.
