„House of Balloons / Glass Table Girls“ (tarjimasi: ingl. – "Sharli uy / Shisha stoldagi qizlar") – kanadalik qoʻshiqchi The Weekndning ikki qismli qoʻshigʻi boʻlib, uning debyut miksteypi House of Balloons (2011) dagi 3-trekdir. == Tarixi va kompozitsiya ==
"House of Balloons"da The Weeknd oʻzining „Baxtli uyi“da boʻlgan ziyofat haqida kuylaydi. Trek ingliz guruhi Siouxsie and the Bansheesning „Happy House“ qoʻshigʻi asosidagi kuylangan. McKinneyning taʼkidlashicha, u dastlab qoʻshiq uchun ritmni 2008-yilda oʻylab qoʻygan, The Weeknddan oldin uni Santigold ijro etishini niyat qilgan. „Qoʻshiqda The Weeknd bazm haqida faltsetda kuylashi bor. U tinglovchini hamma narsa pozitivligiga ishontirishga harakat qilada, lekin aslida barcha baxtsiz“.

„Glass Table Girls“da „Happy House“dan olingan sempl Billboard tomonidan „qoʻpol perkussiya va past ovozli chiqish“ deb taʼriflangan ancha quyuqroq ritm bilan almashtiriladi. McKinney taʼkidlashicha, bit va oʻtish The Weekndning rep aytish istagi tufayli ishlab chiqarilgan. Naqarotda The Weeknd rep va past ovozda kuylashni aralashtirib, kokain isteʼmol qilish va boshqa birovning sevgilisi bilan uxlash haqida kuylaydi. Shisha stollar odatda kokainni hidlash uchun ishlatiladi. Impact The Weekndni qoʻshiq oxirida „butunlay es-hushini yoʻqotgan“ deb taʼriflaydi.

Trekning ikki xil demosi mavjud. Ulardan biri shunchaki „Glass Table Girls“ boʻlib, unda butunlay boshqacha kuy va vokal ijrosi mavjud. Ikkinchisi mavjud qoʻshiqning 25 daqiqali versiyasi boʻlib, har xil naqarotlarga ega.

Qoʻshiqning birinchi yarmi haqida Pitchfork „What You Need“ning „yumshoqroq versiyasi“ kabi koʻrinishi mumkin boʻlsa-da, qoʻshiqda xuddi shunday qaygʻu darajasi borligini taʼkidladi. Keyinchalik Pitchfork uni 2011-yilning 100 ta eng yaxshi qoʻshiqlari roʻyxatida 57-oʻringa qoʻydi. Rolling Stone „House of Balloons / Glass Table Girls“ni The Weekndning toʻqqizinchi eng yaxshi treki deb eʼlon qildi va uning ikkinchi yarmini „The Weeknd faoliyatidagi eng hayajonli yozuvlardan biri, qor koʻchkisi kabi muzli va boʻronli“ deb taʼkidladi. Impactdan Daria Patarek trekni „The Weekndning House of Balloons debyut miksteypidagi yana bir ajoyib yozuv“ deb atadi, unda Abelning shon-shuhratga koʻtarilishi va shu tariqa giyohvandlik, jinsiy aloqa va pulga toʻla musiqa olamiga kirishi haqida hikoya qilinadi. 2021-yil sentyabrida Rolling Stone qoʻshiqning birinchi qismini barcha davrlarning 500 ta eng yaxshi qoʻshiqlari roʻyxatida 488-oʻringa qoʻydi.
